Sardine Salad with Tin Can Fish

I'm a sucker for delicious tuna fish salad on soft bread. So, when I had the opportunity to collaborate with Tin Can Fish, I knew sardine salad was the winner! The packaging is just so cute, it doubles as a serving vessel!

Ingredients:

1 tin of Tin Can Fish (I used the lemon flavored EVOO), olive oil removed

2 Tablespoon mayo

1 teaspoon dijon mustard

1 rib celery, small diced

2 each gherkin pickles, small diced

1/2 teaspoon celery seeds (NOT celery salt)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dill seeds (optional)

Method:

Gently remove sardines from oil and break apart with fingertips. Set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, add mayo, mustard, celery, gherkins, celery seeds, black pepper and dill seeds and mix completely. Place the broken-up sardines into the wet mixture and gently stir.

Wash the tin can being careful of the sharp edges and pile the sardine salad into the can. Serve with fresh bread, crackers, pickled red onions.

Enjoy!
